20 x 16 Titanium Cutting Board Review: Steak review video preview

I tried this metal cutting board as an alternative to the large white plastic boards I normally use. One clarification up front: I called it stainless steel while filming, but the seller identifies it as pure titanium. I did not independently verify the metal composition or the listing’s safety claims.

The seller lists the board at 20 by 16 inches and describes it as a single solid sheet with a brushed surface. An L-shaped edge folds over the front of the counter. The board felt hefty and rigid in my hands, with no noticeable wobble and very little flex. In the video, I estimated that it was about two millimeters thick, but I did not measure it.

The folded edge kept the board from sliding backward, but it could still move in other directions. It wanted to slide when I cut across it, so I put a wet paper towel underneath, as I have done with other cutting boards. That kept it in place for the rest of my cutting session.

For the demonstration, I cut skirt steak that I had cooked medium rare using sous vide, then finished with a torch on the grill. I also used the board while serving Wagyu ribs. The large, rigid surface gave me plenty of room, and it felt less slick during use than I expected.

After the meal, I washed the board by hand and inspected it. The surface had some visible scratches, although I did not consider them severe. Buyers should expect the finish to show marks with use. The metal edges also felt slightly sharp, though not excessively so.

My older plastic boards tend to retain food color and odors. This meal included plenty of garlic and meat, but after washing the board, I did not detect a lingering odor. That result was encouraging, though it reflects only one use rather than a long-term test.

According to the listing, the package includes a cutting mat. The seller also describes the board as dishwasher-safe and suitable for meat, fruit, vegetables, bread, pastries, dough, kneading, and baking. I did not test every listed use, and I washed the board by hand rather than demonstrating it in a dishwasher.

My first impression was positive. The board felt solid, provided plenty of work space, and washed clean after the meal. Its front edge did not stop sideways movement, but a wet paper towel kept it stable during my demonstration. The minor scratches and slightly sharp edges were the main drawbacks I noticed. I plan to keep using it, but this first session cannot confirm the seller’s claims about its composition, safety, scratch resistance, or long-term durability.
