I used this Bluetooth party speaker at a backyard pool party, and the volume was the first thing I noticed. The kids kept turning it up, and even though we have a fairly large yard and the neighbors are some distance away, I was worried they might complain. I had the kids turn it down. This speaker gets seriously loud.
It also puts out plenty of bass. I did not perform a measured audio test, so I cannot quantify the output or compare its sound quality with another speaker. The seller lists a 240-watt peak output from two subwoofers and two tweeters, but I did not independently verify those specifications. I could see two drivers on the front, two on the sides and a bass port on the back.
At approximately 11 pounds on my scale, this is not a small or lightweight portable speaker. I estimated that it measures about 15 inches tall, 6 inches wide and 10 inches deep. It is less convenient to carry than a compact Bluetooth speaker, but the size and weight were manageable for our backyard party.
Music-synchronized lighting covers much of the front display. It has numerous visualization modes that change with the music, and the effects were especially entertaining for the kids. I care more about the music than the lights, but they were fun to watch. You can also turn them off.
The top panel has bass boost, previous and next track, play and pause, and volume controls. I particularly liked the physical on/off switch. It has a firm, tactile click and shuts the speaker down immediately, without making me hold a button and wait.
The side panel includes a USB-C charging port, a USB-A port and what appeared to be an auxiliary input. I also saw two larger jacks that looked suitable for karaoke-style microphones. The seller describes these as microphone and guitar inputs. The listing also claims support for TF card and USB drive playback, along with power-bank charging for another device, but I did not test those functions.
Other seller claims include up to 15 hours of playback, a 2.5-hour charge with a 30-watt charger, TWS pairing between two speakers and an IPX4 rating. I did not test or independently verify those claims.
Based on my time with it, this speaker makes the most sense for someone who values high volume, strong bass and animated lighting more than compact size. It was more than loud enough for our backyard pool party, the controls were straightforward, and the lights were fun without being mandatory.
