EUCOS sent me this 62-inch magnetic phone tripod, and I’ve been using it to film products on a table. What I appreciate most is how easily I can position my phone for the shot I want.
The tripod extends with a sliding center section and has a locking collar. Once it’s standing on my desk, I can rotate and bend the upper section, adjust the phone angle, and lock everything in place. I haven’t found a position I needed that it couldn’t accommodate. Other tripods I’ve tried had limited rotation, so I had to move the legs or reposition the entire tripod. I haven’t had that problem with this one.
The magnetic holder makes it quick to attach my MagSafe phone. My package also included an adhesive magnetic sticker for phones without MagSafe. I didn’t test the sticker with a non-MagSafe phone, but it provides another mounting option.
The included wireless remote has a small physical on/off switch. I appreciate that because remotes without a clear switch can leave me guessing whether they’re active. I’ve ended up with one-second clips after pressing buttons while trying to turn other remotes on. With this remote, I can switch it on and use the button for capture without that confusion.
The magnetic holder is also removable. It unscrews from the tripod, leaving a conventional camera mounting screw. The seller listing identifies this as a standard 1/4-inch connection. That lets me use the tripod without the phone holder or move the holder to another compatible support.
That removable holder solved a specific problem for me. I have a 13-foot tripod with a regular tripod mount, but I didn’t have a convenient way to attach my phone. I moved the EUCOS magnetic holder to that tripod so I could mount my phone there.
The build feels more substantial than several other phone tripods I’ve tried. Those alternatives felt flimsy to me, while the joints and locks on this model feel secure and stout in normal handling. I’m comfortable mounting my phone or camera on it, although I haven’t conducted a long-term durability or load test.
For tabletop product filming, the EUCOS tripod gives me the positioning range I need without requiring me to move the whole stand for every adjustment. The removable magnetic holder and the remote’s dedicated power switch are the two details I find especially practical.
