The EHEYCIGA orthopedic dog bed arrived tightly compressed, particularly the foam sections. The package looked much smaller than the finished bed would after expansion.
Once I removed the outer protective wrap and opened the inner plastic, the foam started expanding. Unfolding it showed how much material had been compressed into the box. I did not find the instructions with the first foam section, but they appeared when I opened the cover.
The instructions said to unroll and unfold the foam, pat it, and give it at least 48 hours to expand. I placed the foam sections inside the cover, closed the zipper, and left the assembled bed to regain its shape. It looked fairly flat at first, though it had already begun to expand.
I planned to check it after 24 hours because I was impatient, but I ended up waiting the full 48 hours. The difference was easy to see. The bed became much fuller, and placing the original box beside it showed how much it had expanded.
My dog went directly to the fully expanded bed and settled onto it. This was his first time using it, so I cannot comment on long-term durability, cleaning performance, or how the foam holds up over time. I also did not test any medical or joint-relief claims.
According to the supplied product listing, this bolster-style bed uses memory foam and egg-crate foam, with supports on all four sides. The listing also describes a plush Sherpa top, faux-linen sides, a waterproof internal liner, and a removable, machine-washable cover. It says the foam is not washable and recommends allowing 24 to 48 hours after unpacking for the memory foam to regain its shape. These are seller-provided details, not conclusions from my short unboxing.
The main thing buyers should expect from this initial setup is a compressed bed that needs time to reach its intended shape. Mine looked fairly flat immediately after unpacking, but it expanded substantially over 48 hours, and my dog used it right away.
