We added this 30-inch under-cabinet range hood during our kitchen remodel. We wanted a simple design, basic controls, and a surface that would be easy to wipe down. After about three to four months of regular use, I still like how it looks and works in our kitchen.
Its appearance was a big part of the decision. The stainless steel finish is plain, and there is no visible branding in the area shown in the video. It does not draw attention away from the rest of the kitchen, which is exactly what I wanted.
The hood gets regular use. My wife cooks with pans under it almost every night, and we make eggs almost every morning. We use the left side of the cooking area more often than the right.
After a few months, the surface had some light grease marks and was due for a wipe-down. I had also touched it shortly before filming, which made the marks more noticeable. Even with that buildup, I did not think it looked especially dirty considering how often we cook.
The controls are straightforward. The hood has three fan speeds and an on/off control for the light, which is positioned at the back. There are no extra modes to work through, and that suits what we wanted from this appliance.
In the video, I demonstrate each fan setting and move the microphone closer to the hood. The fan sounds pretty quiet to me, even at its highest setting. That is a personal impression, not a measured sound test. The seller lists a maximum noise level of 55 dB and rates the hood at 600 CFM with dual motors, but I did not independently verify those figures.
We currently use the hood in ductless recirculation mode because the house did not already have an exterior vent opening. I did not want to cut a new hole through the wall before finding out whether recirculation would be sufficient for our cooking. According to the seller listing, the hood supports ducted and ductless installation, allows top or rear venting, and includes two carbon filters for ductless use.
So far, the recirculating setup has worked for our normal cooking, including steaks on the stove. The kitchen did become somewhat smoky once when I was cooking with particularly high heat, so the setup has not removed all smoke in every situation. Based on our experience so far, I do not think exterior venting is worth drilling a hole through the house, although I may add it later.
The simple appearance, lack of visible branding, uncomplicated controls, and relatively quiet operation are the main reasons I like this hood. My experience is specifically with ductless recirculation, so it may perform differently when vented outdoors.
