52-Inch Low-Profile Ceiling Fan Review: Easy review video preview

I installed this ceiling fan in our hobby room. It has a clean, modern design, with a white base and blades that look like unfinished wood. The seller identifies it as a 52-inch, low-profile flush-mount model.

I found the fan easy to install, but its wiring setup is worth understanding first. The fan and light use one power connection rather than separate switched circuits. Our room had two wall switches at the fan location, which made the existing setup more complicated than necessary. I currently have the fan connected to one switch, but I may leave it powered continuously and mount the remote near the door instead.

The remote controls the fan speed, light color, brightness, timers, and breeze mode. Its timer buttons offer one-, two-, four-, and eight-hour settings. Breeze mode automatically varies the fan speed instead of keeping it at a constant level.

The light has warmer and whiter color settings, and the remote can make it brighter or dimmer. According to the seller, the three color temperatures are 3000K warm yellow, 4000K daylight, and 5000K cool white. I did not independently measure the color temperatures or light output.

This model uses a DC motor. I increased the fan speed and listened from inside the room. I could hear the airflow and the blades moving through the air, but I could not hear the motor. This was a listening check rather than a measured noise test, so the result is limited to what I noticed in this room.

The seller also advertises Wi-Fi app control and compatibility with Alexa and Google Assistant. I saw information about smart controls in the manual, but I did not configure or test the Wi-Fi, app, Alexa, or Google Assistant features. The remote handles the functions I need.

Overall, I like this fan a lot. It was easy for me to install, the remote gives me useful control over the fan and light, and I could not hear the motor during my listening check. I have not been happy with another fan in a different room, so I am considering replacing it with another one of this model.
